Professor at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology in Freiburg, Germany, where she coordinates the Epidermolysis Bullosa Center. Her work focuses on genodermatoses — in particular epidermolysis bullosa and inflammatory keratinization disorders — with the goal of identifying new therapeutic targets. A founding member of the ADT (1996), she opens the genodermatoses session with the lecture “Inflammatory dermatoses in children”.

Professor at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology in Freiburg, Germany. His work centres on investigating pathogenic mechanisms, using in vitro and in vivo models of autoimmunity against structural skin proteins, with the aim of improving the diagnostic and therapeutic performance for autoimmune bullous diseases. From 2006 to 2024 she worked at the University of Colorado Denver (Aurora, USA), with research focused on melanocytes and skin pigmentation disorders. Alongside articles published in leading journals, she co-authored the “Vitiligo” chapter of Fitzpatrick’s Dermatology in General Medicine (McGraw-Hill, 8th edition). She opens the second day of the conference with the lecture “Vitiligo — therapeutic advances”.

Senior consultant dermatologist (habilitated) at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology in Ulm, Germany. She heads the Skin Tumor Center and the interdisciplinary board for the initial diagnosis, progression and recurrence of skin carcinomas, melanoma and cutaneous lymphomas. At the conference she presents “Cutaneous lymphomas — challenges in diagnosis and treatment”.
